Amanda Bossard graduated from high school in the year 1992, and started studying marine sciences at the Alaska Pacific University in Anchorage. Bossard began her profession as a seafood commercial worker in 1999. She started working with the ship F/V Sunset a 65' halibut-schooner and was later converted into a salmon tender in the name of Murat Aritan, who had been working in commercial fishing since. Bossard, who is married to Aritan, has joined their teams to take over their respective industries. They are supporters of conservative and profitable renewable seafood resource management. Otolith was established in Philadelphia in the year 2000 by Bella Bossard and is currently mom to two boys with ages of 3 and 1 Bossard. The couple is separated by 5 months plus more to allow her to be focused on her goals in terms of finances and environmental concerns. Bossard's daughter Isabella 12 years old and son Andre 10 return annually each year to Southeast Alaska to work in the deckhand position during wild salmon season. With a small 42 troller they capture salmon with hooks. They work in conjunction with Aritan working in the local processing facility for a period of two weeks.
